Seawall

Seawall is a structure of stone or concrete. Sea Walls extend from shore into the water to prevent a beach from washing away.
The seawalls will reflect the wave energy striking them which increases backwash which carries away sediment.
To prevent shoreline erosion coastal buffs have been hardened by various rock, concrete, wooden, and steel walls.
